Working it out from the Inside

Ok...I am reading another John Maxwell book called, "Thinking for a Change". This book is challenging me to change me instead of always trying to change circumstances and people. I would recommend it to anyone really wanting to change their life. Get ready though...this book is not going to talk about changing jobs, careers, mates, churches, or anything like that...it's going to tackle the real issue of life and that's ourselves. Changing from the inside out will transform your life. The above might change when you change your thinking but don't think for a minute that changing exterior things will change the real problems that lie in each of us. Can't wait till tonight!!

What a Memorial Day Weekend

This was one of the best Memorial day Sunday ever. We didn't really do anything special. God has laid a new series (and yes Bill I am better at series now)called "The Power in You." WE are looking at the power of the power of God on the inside. TD Jakes says that the biggest enemy we face is the enemy in a me. It's the enemy we shave every morning. In this series we are going to focus on the power of your attitude, joy, emotions, thoughts, words, etc. I am excited...try not to miss any service for a while. God is shaking our thinking.

Tomorrow and following...

I can't wait till tomorrow. We are honoring all of our graduates from High School and College. I am also using this time to launch a new series..if you can call it that...about our thoughts. I am more amazed each day at how much my thoughts control me and direct my life. I can lay in bed and literally think myself into a bad day. Or...you can think yourself into a good day...it amazes me how many people allow life to happen to them instead of them happening to life. I love what Jesse Duplantis says when he wakes up..."Hey Jesus..It's Jesse and I'm awake...what are we going to do today?" Amazing..can you tell that's my word for the day?...God created me to be a thinker...but not for thoughts to control me. Look what God says about this...

Pastor Soi from Kenya was with us tonight

I am so excited about the word from the Lord that Pastor Soi spoke tonight. I truly believe that God has us in the middle of a paradigm shift. I can feel the ground up under us beginning to shake and that's a GREAT thing. I was told by a lady who has visited us for a couple of Sunday's that she loves coming where the power of God is manifested. I praise God for the uncompromising power of God. Tonight Pastor Soi had people laying in the floor under the power of God. So many are moving away from the manifestations because of fear that it will run many off. I agree as a classical pentecostal (meaning simply I was raised in the Church of God pentecostal movement) I have seen my fair share of wierd people...but I can not nor will I stop allowing the Move of God. It is those times when people who are far from God realize that God is real and present...not simply someone we talk about like He's not there. God Bless you today.

I am convinced that American Idol is rigged. I mean how can Chris be voted off....he is the best week in week out. No more Idol for me.

Man what a WEEK! Have you ever just got to Saturday and thought man this week has flown by? I did this week. I haven't even had time to BLOG. If you ever need a great blog to read and you would like to know who it is you are reading go to this one. This is one that I read that always encourages me. Great Going Heather. This past week I had to do some more work on the lights at the church...we have them about right for now. I also got some GREAT news about our land...in fact I have been on the phone all week with stuff going on with our land and the land near us...you will not want to miss this Sunday when I share it. I also had a chance to play golf with a great friend from Greenwood. Yeah, I play golf a little...I truly got the golf FEVER Friday though. You should have seen this course...the fairways were in better shape than most people's carpet...no kidding...this place is awesome...check it out here.
I will be playing in a tournament this Friday so pray for my team mates. That's about it...see you Sunday.
