A different kind of Blog

Hey Everyone...I wanted to do a different kind of blog. One where I don't talk and you do. So, I am wondering what God is saying to you? What are you feeling in the spirit? What is happening in the body of Christ? Come on and weigh in!

Hi! I really feel like God is saying that if we can continue to stand just a little bit longer that very soon we are going to receive that long awaited breakthrough - as a church and also in our personal lives. I feel like He's about to show up and show out! Things we gave up on a long time ago, He's about to bring to reality. People we gave up on are going to start to come around. I think He wants to remind us that if He said He'll do it, He will, but sometimes we do have to wait! I really feel like that wait is coming to an end for a lot of people!
And as for the church, I really feel like a move of God is about to hit us like never before. I think now is a time of preparation for that move and that this move is going to take place very soon. Honestly, I feel like it's already hitting our church. And if we, in our own personal relationships with God, aren't prepared, I really feel we're going to miss out.
That's what I feel God's telling me. Hope this makes sense...

Hello to everyone in Anderson. My name is J.P.,I'm a friend of Pastor Scott's in Georgia. This is a very good topic.God has revealed something very important to me,especially over the last year or so.In a relationship with Jesus Christ, there are two words that are of utmost importance:SIMPLICITY and HONESTY.I have learned this through some very hard experiences.A lot of people tend to over-complicate things when it comes to God.In Matthew 22:37-40, Jesus reveals what I feel is the message of the ENTIRE Bible, in three short verses! So,God means for it to be so much simpler than we make it.We must also be honest. If things are a mess for us physically and spiritually, we must look inside our hearts and ask ourselves if we are truly striving to live inside the will of God in every aspect of our lives. If the answer is no, we must try to tackle the problems, and do whatever it takes to change for God's glory. If we truly do this, God will bless us. If we are in God's will, and still going through hard times, we must hold fast to God's promises to us. When the dust clears God will bless us. See, it is a blessing either way!Again, we must be HONEST.Too many Christians today remind me of a Boy Scout who helps an old lady accross the street, and then demands a dollar from her!God knows our hearts and our motives, and will not honor anything we do, if it doesn't come from the right place. So it's simplicity and honesty. Pretty simple, honestly. Thanks for letting me share,God bless!

I believe that God is preparing us for a harvest here in Anderson. He's preparing a foundation at CIOC with all of the members here. I believe deep in my heart that He has a plan for each one of us in this foundation. God has put us all together for a reason. We all have special talents to use for Him. What is so exciting is to know that we, each and everyone of us, is going to be used in a mighty way. Think about it! Each one of us has a story. Each one of us has a gift. Each one of us has a past. And we are being fed the Word to prepare us to minister to those that are hurting, and need us to share in their pain, and love them unconditionally.
Christy said it the other Sunday when she spoke of her dream. The dream of a center for women and how many of us in her dream were there helping. God said that in the last days young men,(I believe "men" meaning: "mankind") will dream dreams. Can anyone get as excited as me?! God, the one who created the universe, is going to use US to reach, love, and deciple lost and hurting people. We have to get ready! They're coming! We have to be prepared! So let's all do our part and stay in God's word, sing praises to Him daily, focus on our gifts and do whatever it takes to know how to help others that may be going through some "stuff". Some of the problems that come to mind are the following: drug use, abuse, homosexuality, divorce, death of a spouse or child, alcohol abuse, and sexual imorality.
So, if any of us have been delivered by the precious blood of Jesus and has overcome one or more of these areas, it's time to know how to help and share with others! THEY ARE COMING!!!!

I know we have the BEST people at CIOC! I am so excited about what God is doing in our church, I can hardly contain it. I find myself talking about CIOC more than any other subject. I love you all very much and pray you have a blessed week!
